    Cycle 1

Regardless of where you are or what you have been doing, you find yourself enveloped in complete darkness. Within the blink of an eye, you are assaulted with a scent of antiquity, something long forgotten. Before sight returns to your eyes, your feet detected a gritty texture on the ground, sand? Then, it hit you all at once when you are able to see again - you had been transported away to a distant land against your will.

As you remain in your spot, your eyes are filled with a Persian architectural marvel built at a scale so grand you couldn't begin to comprehend. Ornate designs were carved beautifully into the wall, where were traces of art etched into the ceiling and exquisite sculpture elicited an aura of classical refinement, though much of this marvelous seems to have been marred by time.

Silence did not last long, however, as you realize you are surrounded by people. Some faces familiar faces, though most belonged to strangers who appeared to be just as confused and terrified as you. When complete thoughts are about to form in your dead, a voice derailed your thought process entirely.

    Ivan

"Hello? Uh, hi, this is Ivan, from the Ynglar Brotherhood. Per the request of the King, @Astor Balthas, I have performed a mass teleportation spell to get everyone to the western border. However, I may have miscalculated the distance and now everyone is in another plane of existence, sorry about that.

In any case, there is no need to be alarmed. Located at the top of this ancient palace is a portal that will lead you back to where you were previously. All you have to do is to make your way through this building and everything will be back to normal.

So, the catch here is that there is a black smoke that will begin to chase you in approximately 30 seconds, so I suggest you don't dillydally around and start running and finding a way to get up top."

After the sudden transmission from Ivan, an awful shriek reverberates down the hall and sends many of the people around you fleeing forward. When you decide to follow them, you arrive at the first obstacles of many: a massive pit. From a quick glance, you are not able to see the bottom of the pit. If someone kicked a rock into it, it wouldn't make a single sound. Very reassuring!

The edge also appears to be crumbling from the weight of the people standing on top of it, indicating that you do not have much time. It is time to figure out a way to get across. Upon a closer inspection, you take notice that the pit is at least 5-7 meters across. The ceiling is far too high and the walls on the side and the ground beneath you appear to be unstable.

    What do you do?

  4. "PREPARE TO FACE THE MIGHT OF SEI—... Huh?" Suddenly, everything changed! From delivering Justice to evil evildoers to... Raja of Persia? At least it reminded Seigi about that game. "You CAN'T just DO THAT to PEOPLE!" As the mist suddenly started rising.

The girl nodded. "You shall pay for your crimes... later!" Before meeting with a giant pit. Easy peasy! "Someone, grab on!" Seigi yelled before using her Heroic Might to put enormous strength into her legs, like some spring, to jump over the gap!

  7. Claire was just minding her own business. And then, this happened. Dropped into another plane on accident (and she couldn't highlight that part enough, on accident), chased by a deadly mist, and apparently having to get through a bunch of deathtraps. Fantastic.

She grit her teeth as the pit came into view. Her solution wasn't the most energy efficient, but whatever. She threw her hands out, casting a spell to form an ice bridge. "Anyone else with Hydromancy, I could use the help!" she called out.

  11. Sitting up and looking about, Rat noticed that suddenly they were at the end of a hall which lead towards a massive pit and panicked masses were herding that way, attempting to cross it.
Looking about, she focused and found the strongest looking man and pulled out some rope. After a brief word with him, she convinced him to throw her across the gap so she could tie off a rope for others to cross on.

After all, the end of the world didn't mean the end of friendliness.

  14. There wasn't any time to waste. Iván immediately summoned a flying ant, a smaller version of the Ant Queen he had faced during his first Aristocracy mission, at the sight of the massive pit. One moment he was making curry, the next there was only darkness, then sand, and now whatever the hell was going on. Ynglar Brotherhood? That explained a lot. Mass teleportation spell getting botched? That one, Iván didn't expect. Not from the Brotherhood at least. It seemed to him like the Brotherhood needed a new Iv(á)n. But first? Survive.

  17. With the scene changing so quickly Alric was left with barely any time to think since the building he found himself in now was a literal death trap. After a scream pierced the air their confusion only worsened and the people around him began to run with his legs soon following.

At the pit he only had one real way of crossing. He traced out a spell to call whatever spirits may have been lurking in the castle and had them work together to try tossing him to the other side.

  20. “Wait, why am I here, I’m the one who asked for this! This is madness. Ivan, you bastard!” Astor seemed to have been displaced from his sleeping chamber full of catgirls, in fact, he has yet to change out of his pajama. What was the meaning of this sudden teleportation?

Either way, he was shook the moment people started to run. Astor followed them. When he got to the chasm, he decided to jet across to the other side using a fire spell.

  23. Ending up in some place random without warning wasn't weird in Terrasphere anymore. Comet accepted Ivan's message with a shrug, and followed everyone else when the running started. It seemed like a slim chance to die, and even slimmer chance to actually succeed. So she would jump over that huge bottomless hole to see what happened. Why not?

  26. Bradwynne was about to go out of the Duchy, wearing what might be his last set of clothes, when he was teleported to this place. When he heard the explanation of whoever teleported him there, he just said, "Damn you Ivan," before shouting "Geronimo!" as he jumped with all his strength after casting a spell that will increase his speed. He would just stab his daggers to the stone to vault himself upward to the other side.

  29. Jasper sighed in frustration. It was always his boss. Not thinking twice he started to run, doing his best to keep up with the crowd. "Noo!" Jasper lamented that he did not have enough time to think of a proper solution. He kicked off with his legs to cross the pit. As he started to fall short, he reached out with a nature magic spell to call a vine to him.

  32. From preparing to attack an eldritch abomination to being stuck in an alternate dimension. Even in Terrasphere that wasn't something that happened often. Mizuki listened to the man responsible for this, sighing before shaking her head. Well, no time to waste with being worried. They had to run. Seeing the hole Mizuki pulled forth her energy and enchanted her own body with it, then took several steps back before charging forward, trying to use physical prowess and buffs to wall jump to the other side.

  35. Being randomly teleported to some sort of temple was really quite the shocking and displacing experience, rather literally. Luna started with a gasp, blinking as she was suddenly no longer sat in a tavern, a glass of water tossed into the air as she was suddenly sat on nothing, falling onto her hind quarters. Quickly, she scrambled to her feet and made a running jump. Acrobat couldn't fail her now, could it?

@Seigi You grabbed a random person, but underestimated how morbidly obese they were. Although you landed on the other side, you stubbed your pinky toe. It is broken. Subtract 25% HP

@Claire Thalassa Your bridge is well made, albeit slippery. You successful slid across.

@Rat Although the strong man threw you across, a rock fell from the ceiling and took you to the bottom of the pit where you saw a bunch of dead princes. Dead

@Iván Carl The ant answered your call, however, as it flew you across the chasm, it began gnawing off your arm. You fell to the other side while the ant flew away with your severed limb. Subtract 25% HP

@Alric Stalwart You accidentally summoned another black smoke that is identical to the one chasing the group. It consumed you. Dead

@Comet The rock that fell and took Rat with it broke off hindered your jump. You crashed into it breaking a rib or two but at least you lived, hanging from the ledge where you landed. Subtract 50% HP

@Astor Balthas You saw an illusionary catgirl in the air and attempted to catch her, however, it was actually the same rock that smashed Comet. Subtract 50% HP

@Bradwynne You speed spell worked as expected you succeeded the jump without much effort.

@Jasper You jump at the speed of light, so fast in fact that you traveled through time into a future where you were a wealthy sultan with a harem of beautiful men. The time jump puts you in the last few seconds of your precious life. You die of old age. Dead

@Ueno Mizuki You made the jump no problem, your body was made for this test of agility!

@Luna Avalbane Acrobat answered and the answer was "yass" you made the jump.

This post does not refresh posting cooldown.
Anyone who died this cycle may rejoin next cycle with their alternate characters.

  39. One second, eating in a chair. The next, falling down about a foot with all of your stomach's contents ready to spill out. Great.

With a groan, Alkaid did her best to follow the man's words, not that it was hard to pick up what needed to be done, unless pack mentality was failing them here.

Although she followed along using Aeromancy, the woman could still be heard griping all the while. "Oh, there is nothing to worry about. I just dropped you in a scenario where you all get to play with Virtual Dahaka. Yaaaay."

  42. Coincidentally, Cain had been rolling off a steep slope when the teleportation had begun, and though the midnight haired muse noted the change in scenery, the momentum carried him onwards without pause, the Rolling Boy smashing into a few unfortunate adventurers like a bowling ball before flying off the edge of the mountain.

All the phantasmal nooses in the world couldn't save him from gravity, it seemed.
